I'm working on decorations for Brooklynn's party on Sunday. We'll see how it turns out but I'm working on a banner a little like this one. Wish me luck!

Wow! Our little Babe-ski is turning 2 in just a few days! I can't believe how this last year has flown by.

Brooklynn...
I can't believe that you're almost two! You've grown into a such a little big girl this past year and such a little "mini me". Every day you do or say something new that makes me smile! I can't even put into words how you've changed my life and how happy you make me...thank you for choosing me to be your mommy! I love the little moments every day where you come to me to tell me something...looking up at me saying "mommy" in your littlest voice, then telling me a story (only you know what is said but that's okay). And the times that you come to me for just a hug and a kiss...just letting me know you love me. I love you too! Sometimes I glance over at you and get a little glimpse of what you will look like later in life. You're so beautiful!
Here are some of the things you do, say and like: {Mason was named "Mamee" a couple of months ago, Broccoli is Boppi, when Mason cries you say "Mamee, Bopple". Usually he DOES need a bottle, and my new favorite is appleSAUCE!

• You talk a lot but usually only at home. You can say almost anything but are a perfectionist and I hear you in your room trying new words out all the time.
• You love to watch cartoons and your favorite is Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and Charlie & Lola. Sometimes we have "pink milk" while we watch it.
• You love to put things together and in their places and you're very paticular about where things go.
• You love books! You take them off your shelf one at a time and read them ALL!
• You love to go outside and ride your bike or swing. You can almost push the pedals around now that you can reach them!
• You're favorite movie is Madagascar {Roar-Gigi}
• You love the bathtub! You ask for a baaath at night and love dumping water on Mason's head. In fact, you love it so much you completely ignore Mommy & Daddy when we tell you no - then you get in trouble.
• You love little kids and call them all babies...even the ones that are MUCH older than you.
• You love dogs. {DoggEEE} and cats {Neows}
• You love your toddler bed {except when you fall out of it}
• You're getting your last molars. Whew! Finally done with teething!
• You love to dress up. Jewelry, rings, purses, shoes... you love it all!
• You love to eat oranges {especially the Clementines that Ma brings you}, cheese, yogurt, green beans, tomatoes, grapes, raisins, goldfish crackers, popsicles. {Ok... I don't know of anything you don't like.}
• You love drinking out of a big girl cup and get frustrated when I give you sippy cups!
• When you're sleepy, you get a blanket and lay down on the couch or the floor. When I ask if you're sleepy you say "No, Mommy!" and get up again.
• You give the best kisses! {BoooWaaa}
• You're starting to love to talk on the phone. This morning you called Nana and usually hold your play phones up to Mason's ear so he can talk too!
• You love to play with your teacup set. We always have tea with two scoops of sugar and cream with a cookie.
• You love to dance. It's so cute! You can't decide if you should dance like a rock star or slow dance sometimes. Graceful...just like your mommy! haha!
• You love to wear hats...but get so frustrated when you can't get them on yourself.

There are many more things you do and love too. Every little thing you do makes me smile. It's fun to see you explore and learn new things. You're very smart and most of the time you're happy. I feel lucky to have such a good little girl!
I just want you to know that I love you more than anything! There is nothing I woudn't do for you!
I hope you know how much your mom & dad love you and how very thankful we are to get to be your parents! We look forward to many more years of you growing and learning and stealing our hearts over and over again!

welcome to our little world

Welcome to our blog. I decided that since I miss Brooklynn's baby website (sorry Mason) and updating our tens of readers of all the little things that Dustin and I think are soooo important, I would start a family blog. I plan to write about our daily dilemmas and milestones as well as some of the things in this world that make me smile.

Even though I have tons of ideas in my noggin, I haven't quite organized them into blog-worthy thoughts. So, due to lack of things to post I will just continue to change the layout until I figure something out to write... thanks.
