Beautiful Day

I am so absolutely-grateful for the mom's in my life.  Of course for my own mom, who taught me about being myself and following my heart.  And for my mother-in-law, who raised a truly amazing son who is compassionate, affectionate, caring & hard-working.

I am even more grateful that I have had the chance to become a mother, myself.  Those sweet little faces make me want to be better than my best every day.  As cliche' as it is, I can't imagine my life without them and without the journey of motherhood.

Happy Mother's Day!

just one more bite...

I think I'm in love.

The kids are napping and D's, well, he's napping too.  I'm just trying to enjoy a little quiet time but can't seem to ignore this urge to polish off the last of the Marionberry Pudding Cake that D brought home from the store.

I think I single-handedly ate more than half of it in the last 18 hours.  And if there were more, I would eat that too!

Not being a cake fan {at.all}, I had my reservations about this non-cake pudding cake.  I don't even prefer berries.  In fact, if it were me at the grocery store choosing a dessert, I probably would've looked for something with the darkest, richest chocolate I could find.  Like a mousse.  Or maybe a cheesecake.  Mmmm, I love cheesecake.

Anyway, this cake is one of the best tasting creations I have ever tasted and I'm on a mission to find my own recipe.  If YOU have a perfect pudding cake recipe, will you let me know?  It is perfectly moist, filled with sweet berries and topped with a "to-die-for" glaze.
